Now available at The Piercing Urge is a new range of services that are a little more on the wild side. Peter Sheringham has been experimenting with these procedures for the past couple of years at The Urge (adding to his extensive skills), and we are now happy to formally announce their launch to the public. (Thankyou to everyone who has made this research possible).
Services currently offered are: Dermal Anchors, Scarification, Genital Beading (this has been a long term service at The Piercing Urge but we have included it in our Extreme range), Punch & Taper Surface Piercing, Dermal Punching, Flesh Staples and Lobe Scalpelling.
Dermal Anchors are the newest kid on the block. For the last 12-18 months people have been experimenting with different jewellery and techniques to perfect single point piercing. Now we have a simple procedure and suitable jewellery making it safe and simple to have done. Dermal Anchors can be placed almost anywhere on the body and look fantastic. Imagine your friends faces when they see a Dermal Anchor and wonder where it comes out?
Scarification is the act of cutting or burning the skin to create a scar that matches a design usually provided by the client. Unlike a tattoo it can have a raised texture and it’s color ranges from red through to white. Recently there has been some great work being done by mixing Scarification with a tattoo. Some people prefer Scarification to a tattoo as it is a more organic art form. The resulting scar success does vary, however further enhancements can be made following the initial healing process.
Genital Beading has become very popular over the last few years and is the process in which balls are implanted under the loose tissue covering the shaft of the penis. This gives the penile shaft a lumpy look and a fun sexual texture. Some reports have been that the wearers sexual partner has loved the feeling.
Punch & Taper Surface Piercing is the most successful way to perform Surface Piercing. With this method piercing can be performed in areas that were previously impossible to heal such as the back of the Neck and Arms. We have experienced a dramatic increase in the success of surface piercings using this method and are excited to see piercings in places that were previously very temporary, staying put!
Dermal Punching is very useful for those wanting large holes in Cartilage. Stretching the Cartilage is very difficult, so starting from a larger size is really the way to go. Dermal Punching is available from 2mm-8mm
Flesh Staples are probably one of the more unusual forms of body piercing. Similar to a surface piercing, but the bar is on the outside rather than the inside of the body. These piercings can be more of a challenge to heal, but the results are very impressive. They can be done in a range of places, however careful consideration concerning the correct placement is important.
Lobe Scalpelling is similar to Dermal Punch however it gives a much better result in the lobe compared to a Dermal Punch. A scalpel is used to make an incision in the lobe and from there large jewellery can be inserted, and once healed can be stretched even further. Hole sizes available are 6mm-12mm.
